- In a microwave-safe bowl, break the dark chocolate into small pieces. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth. Be cautious not to overheat it.
- Lightly grease small silicone moulds or cupcake liners to ensure easy removal after setting.
- Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract to the melted chocolate, and mix thoroughly until smooth and glossy.
- Carefully pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared moulds, filling them about three-quarters full. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if using.
- Place the moulds in the refrigerator and allow them to set for about 1-2 hours or until firm.
- Once set, gently remove the chocolate cups from the moulds and place them on a serving platter.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, wrap in plastic wrap and freeze. Let soften slightly at room temperature before serving.
