  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Use sharp cheddar for more flavor.
  • 1/2 cup diced onion You can use yellow or white onion.
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard Yellow mustard works best.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Use to enhance flavor.
  • 1 package Pillsbury refrigerated dough (or similar, ensure halal compliance)
  • as needed Optional: pickles, lettuce, tomato for serving Customize with your favorite toppings.

Preparation
  1. Preheat Your Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking.
  2. Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the Harvest: Stir in diced onion and cook until softened. Mix in ketchup, mustard, and season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese until melted.
  4. Prepare the Dough: Open your refrigerated dough and roll it out flat. Cut it into squares or circles.
  5. Fill the Dough: Place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto the center of each dough piece.
  6. Seal It Up: Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges together to seal.
  7. Bake Them: Place the pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Serve and Enjoy: Let them cool for a few minutes before serving with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
