  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup diced apples (about 1-2 medium apples)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
Topping
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar. Stir until well incorporated.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  5. Grease or line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the sheet, leaving space between each fritter.

  2. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar. Serve warm.

Notes

For best results, use a mix of sweet and tart apples like Fuji and Granny Smith. You can customize with spices or nuts as desired. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for up to three months.
