Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 2 large eggs
  • 500 ml milk
  • 100 g melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and then stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are perfectly fine!
Cooking
  1. Lightly grease the waffle iron with non-stick spray if needed.
  2. Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the preheated waffle iron (usually around 1 cup, but follow your specific iron’s guidelines).
  3. Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden and crispy, typically 5-7 minutes.
Serving
  1. Remove the waffles and serve immediately with your favorite toppings!

Notes

For variations, try using almond milk or oat milk. Make sure to measure your baking powder correctly for fluffy waffles.
