  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Peel your carrots and cut them into uniform pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, butter, honey, salt, black pepper, and cinnamon. Stir until you create a smooth glaze.
  3. Place the chopped carrots in the crockpot, then pour the glaze over them and stir gently.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for about 4 hours, or on high for 2 hours.
  5. Once the cooking time is up, stir the carrots gently before serving hot.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh carrots. Add a pinch of nutmeg or ginger for extra depth. If desired, check the carrots after 3 hours for desired texture.
