Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound frozen meatballs Ensure halal-friendly
  • 1 cup sweet and sour sauce
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks Optional
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by plugging in your slow cooker and setting it to low heat.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the frozen meatballs, sweet and sour sauce, pineapple chunks, chopped bell peppers, and chopped onions to ensure an even coating of sauce throughout.
  3. Pour the mixture into the prepared crock pot, spreading it out evenly.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crock pot with the lid and cook on low for about 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours. The longer it cooks, the more tender the meatballs will become.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, stir and serve warm over steamed rice or enjoy on its own.

Notes

For substitutions, you can swap pineapple with diced carrots for added crunch. Avoid frequent lid lifting during cooking to maintain temperature. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
