Preparation
  1. Start by carefully dicing the onion and measuring out your other ingredients so everything is ready to go.

  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in your slow cooker.
Cooking
  1. Cover the slow cooker with the lid, and set it to low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  2. If using cheese, sprinkle it on during the last 30 minutes of cooking time.
  3. Once the cooking time is up, carefully remove the meatloaf from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes.
