Preparation
- Slice the beef thinly against the grain for extra tenderness.
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, cornstarch, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Whisk until smooth.
- Place the sliced beef at the bottom of the crock pot and pour the sauce over it, ensuring even coverage.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, add the broccoli florets, stir gently, and replace the lid.
Serving
- Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed. Serve the beef and broccoli over rice.
Notes
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in a saucepan or microwave, adding water if needed to retain sauce consistency.
