Sauce Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Freshly minced garlic is preferable.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Alternative: half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Add for color and freshness.

Preparation of Ingredients
  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Ensure shrimp are peeled and deveined, and steak is trimmed.
Cooking the Steak
  1. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the steak with salt and pepper. Add the steak to the skillet once the oil is hot, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare or until desired doneness.
  3. Remove the steak and let it rest covered with foil to keep warm.
Making the Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine while scraping any brown bits from the skillet.
  3. Add the shrimp and paprika, cooking for about 3-5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink and opaque.
Serving
  1. Slice the steak and serve it topped with the creamy garlic shrimp mixture, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For freezing, up to 2 months is best, thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat gently.
