  • 1 pound ground beef Use fresh ground beef for best results.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Can use gluten-free breadcrumbs if needed.
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers Feel free to customize with your favorite vegetables.
  • 1/4 cup ketchup Additional ketchup for glazing optional.
  • 1 piece egg
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, diced onions, diced bell peppers, ketchup, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish or meatloaf pan, shaping it into a loaf approximately 8 inches long and 4 inches wide.
Baking
  1. Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes. Brush additional ketchup on top during the last 15 minutes for a flavorful glaze.
  2. Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing to retain its juiciness.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, or freeze slices wrapped in plastic wrap for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or a 350°F oven, covered with foil to keep from drying out.
