Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, diced onions, diced bell peppers, ketchup, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish or meatloaf pan, shaping it into a loaf approximately 8 inches long and 4 inches wide.
Baking
- Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes. Brush additional ketchup on top during the last 15 minutes for a flavorful glaze.
- Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing to retain its juiciness.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, or freeze slices wrapped in plastic wrap for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or a 350°F oven, covered with foil to keep from drying out.
