  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cotton candy pieces
  • 1 cup sprinkles (optional) adds color and fun to the cookies

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the cotton candy pieces and optional sprinkles until evenly dispersed throughout the dough.
  7. Using a cookie scoop, place rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months. To enjoy, thaw at room temperature or microwave for 10 seconds.
