Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the cotton candy pieces and optional sprinkles until evenly dispersed throughout the dough.
- Using a cookie scoop, place rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months. To enjoy, thaw at room temperature or microwave for 10 seconds.
