Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is fluffy and light in color.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are perfectly okay!
- Using your hands or a spoon, portion the dough into fry-like shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each for spreading.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers still look slightly soft.
- Remove from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serving
- Drizzle with chocolate sauce or serve with a side for dipping. Enjoy your delicious Cookie Fries!
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake them by a minute or two. Can add chocolate chips for an extra chocolatey delight. Store in an airtight container for 3-4 days, or freeze for up to a month.
