Dough and Filling
  • 1 package refrigerated cinnamon roll dough Choose your favorite brand.
  • 1 cup chocolate chip cookie dough (store-bought or homemade) Can be semi-sweet or dark chocolate.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Packed tightly for best results.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Use fresh cinnamon for enhanced flavor.
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar For the drizzle.
  • 1 tablespoon milk To mix with powdered sugar for glaze.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Open the package of refrigerated cinnamon roll dough and set aside the icing for later.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon.
Assembly
  1. On a clean surface, unroll the cinnamon roll dough into a rectangle.
  2. Spread the chocolate chip cookie dough evenly over the rectangle.
  3. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture on top.
  4. Start from one end and roll the dough into a tight cylinder, pinching the edges to seal.
  5. Slice the rolled dough into 8 equally-sized rolls and place them cut-side up in a greased 9×9 inch baking dish.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Allow the rolls to cool slightly, then drizzle with the icing from the roll package.
  3. For a thicker glaze, combine powdered sugar with milk and drizzle over the rolls.

Notes

For added flavor, consider introducing a pinch of nutmeg to the filling or swap nuts for a satisfying crunch. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
