Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Open the package of refrigerated cinnamon roll dough and set aside the icing for later.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon.
Assembly
- On a clean surface, unroll the cinnamon roll dough into a rectangle.
- Spread the chocolate chip cookie dough evenly over the rectangle.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture on top.
- Start from one end and roll the dough into a tight cylinder, pinching the edges to seal.
- Slice the rolled dough into 8 equally-sized rolls and place them cut-side up in a greased 9×9 inch baking dish.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow the rolls to cool slightly, then drizzle with the icing from the roll package.
- For a thicker glaze, combine powdered sugar with milk and drizzle over the rolls.
Notes
For added flavor, consider introducing a pinch of nutmeg to the filling or swap nuts for a satisfying crunch. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
