  1. In a large bowl, start by softening the cream cheese. Using a hand mixer or whisk, beat the cream cheese until it’s smooth and creamy.
  2. Gradually add in the sugar and vanilla extract. Continue mixing until well-combined and fluffy.
  3. Carefully fold in the whipped topping, ensuring not to deflate the mixture.
  4. Pour the creamy mixture into the graham cracker crust and smooth it out evenly.
  5. Gently spread the cherry pie filling over the top in a creative swirl pattern.
  6. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
  7. Once set, slice into squares and serve.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use vegan cream cheese and coconut whipped topping. Make sure the cream cheese is softened before mixing to avoid lumps.
