Ingredients
  

For the pecans
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 1/4 cup water

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt. Stir well.
  4. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the water and stir to combine.
  5. Pour the melted butter and water mixture over the pecans and mix to coat.
  6. Add the sugar mixture to the bowl and stir to ensure each pecan is coated.
  7. Transfer the coated pecans onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
  8. Roast in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  9. Remove from the oven, allow to cool completely on the baking sheet.
  10. Serve at your next gathering or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Feel free to add spices like nutmeg or pumpkin spice for a variation. Alternative nuts like walnuts or almonds can also be used, though flavors may vary.
