Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt. Stir well.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the water and stir to combine.
- Pour the melted butter and water mixture over the pecans and mix to coat.
- Add the sugar mixture to the bowl and stir to ensure each pecan is coated.
- Transfer the coated pecans onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Remove from the oven, allow to cool completely on the baking sheet.
- Serve at your next gathering or store in an airtight container.
Notes
Feel free to add spices like nutmeg or pumpkin spice for a variation. Alternative nuts like walnuts or almonds can also be used, though flavors may vary.
