Ingredients
  

For the bread
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 cup sugar For coating.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray, or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  4. In another bowl, beat together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Coating and Serving
  1. While the bread bakes, mix together the sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl for the coating.
  2. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then roll it in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat.
  3. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

For lighter bread, substitute half of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour. To store, wrap tightly in plastic wrap for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat slices in the microwave or toaster oven.
