Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray, or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- In another bowl, beat together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Coating and Serving
- While the bread bakes, mix together the sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl for the coating.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then roll it in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
For lighter bread, substitute half of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour. To store, wrap tightly in plastic wrap for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat slices in the microwave or toaster oven.
