Ingredients

Frosting Base
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter Ensure it's at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened Use plant-based butter for a dairy-free version.
  • 1/4 cup milk Use non-dairy milk for a dairy-free version.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by measuring out all your ingredients. This will make the process smoother and more organized.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of creamy peanut butter with 1/4 cup of softened butter. Use an electric mixer on medium speed until it forms a smooth mixture (about 2 minutes).
  3. Gradually sift in 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder. Mix until well combined and fully incorporated into the peanut butter and butter mixture.
  4. Slowly add 1 cup of powdered sugar to the bowl. Mix on low speed initially to avoid a cloud of sugar before turning it up to medium speed until no lumps remain.
  5. Slowly add 1/4 cup of milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Continue mixing until the frosting achieves a smooth, spreadable consistency.
  6. If it appears too stiff, add a splash of milk until the desired texture is reached.
  7. Taste your frosting! If you prefer a sweeter flavor, you can add a bit more powdered sugar.
  8. Use the frosting immediately to frost cakes, cupcakes, or enjoy it as a dip for fresh fruit.
