Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Make sure it is softened to room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows Keep ready for the swirl action.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips These will elevate your cookies.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition, along with the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until a cohesive dough forms.
  6. Gently fold in the mini marshmallows and chocolate chips.
  7. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop dollops of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them a couple of inches apart.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges look set.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

To enhance flavor, substitute with dark cocoa powder for a richer taste or replace butter with Halal-friendly margarine if needed. Keep an eye on baking time as ovens can vary.
