  • 1 box chocolate cake mix Ensure it is a Halal-friendly mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water Consider using chocolate milk for a richer flavor
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil Coconut oil can be used as a fragrant alternative
For the Decoration
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting Use store-bought or homemade
  • as needed White chocolate or coconut flakes For bunny fur decoration
  • as needed Chocolate candies For bunny's eyes and nose
  • as needed Food coloring Optional for additional decoration

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
  3. Grease a round cake pan or line with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Decoration
  1. Spread chocolate frosting over the cooled cake.
  2. Carve the cake into a bunny shape if desired, and decorate with coconut flakes and chocolate candies.
  3. Slice and enjoy with your family!

Notes

Store the cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in fridge overnight before serving.
