Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
- In a larger bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and salt until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers still appear slightly undercooked.
- Remove from the oven and let the cookies sit on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
To store, keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat for 10-15 seconds in the microwave for a freshly baked taste.
