Ingredients
  

For the Marinade
  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced thin
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
For the Dish
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 1 piece bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 piece onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil For frying
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 green onion chopped for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced flank steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well, and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet or wok.
  2. Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, and stir for about 30 seconds.
  4. Toss in the sliced bell pepper and onion, and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until vegetables are slightly tender.
  5. Add beef broth to the skillet and bring the mixture to a boil. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  6. Serve the beef hot, garnished with freshly chopped green onions.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
