- In a large bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan. Mix them well until evenly distributed.
- Crack the egg into the cheese mixture, seasoning with salt and pepper. Stir everything together to create a cohesive blend.
- Using your hands, scoop small portions of the mixture and shape them into bite-sized balls. Roll each ball in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
Cooking
- In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat, enough to cover the bottom of the pan for even frying.
- Carefully add a few bites at a time, ensuring not to crowd the pan. Fry until golden brown on all sides, typically about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Once cooked, transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
