Method
Preparation
- In a large bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form it into 4 equal patties.
- Try not to overwork the meat; this will keep your burgers juicy!
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the beef patties and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side.
- Flip the patties to cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes, or until your desired doneness is reached.
- In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cover the skillet with a lid to help the cheese melt beautifully.
Toasting Garlic Bread
- While the patties are finishing, toast your garlic bread in the oven or on a separate skillet until golden brown and crispy.
Assembly
- Once the patties are cooked and cheesy, place each on a slice of garlic bread.
- Add your desired toppings such as lettuce and tomato, and finish with another slice of garlic bread on top.
Serving
- Share with your favorite people, and watch them marvel at your culinary skills!
Notes
If you prefer a different protein, try chicken or turkey; ensure they are Halal. For a vegan version, use plant-based patties. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
