  • 2 cups Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can be substituted with mozzarella or pepper jack cheese.
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions Feel free to add more for extra flavor.
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted Used for greasing and drizzling on top.
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 cup cooked crumbled bacon To keep it halal, consider using cooked turkey bacon or omitting it.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix, shredded cheddar cheese, and milk. Stir until just combined.
  3. If using turkey bacon, mix it into the batter. Fold in the chopped green onions.
  4. Lightly grease a baking dish with a drizzle of melted butter.
  5. Pour the biscuit mixture into the greased dish and spread it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Drizzle the remaining melted butter on top after baking.
  3. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes.
