Method
Preparation
- Gather all your ingredients. Place the salmon fillets on a paper towel to absorb any excess moisture.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, honey, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper until well-combined.
Cooking
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Allow it to warm up for a few minutes.
- Add a splash of oil to the pan, carefully lay the salmon fillets skin-side down, and sear for about 4-5 minutes without moving them.
- Gently flip the fillets using a spatula. Brush each piece generously with the Cajun honey butter mixture and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, spooning the sauce over the salmon as it cooks.
Serving
- Once the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, remove it from the heat. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
You can substitute honey with agave syrup or maple syrup. Avoid overcrowding the pan while cooking to ensure even cooking and perfect crispiness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
