Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients and tools: mixing bowl, mixer, and spatula.
  2. Beat the softened butter with a mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until fluffy.
  3. Gradually add powdered sugar and pinch of salt, mixing on low speed before increasing to fully combine.
  4. Incorporate heavy cream and vanilla extract; beat until smooth. Add more powdered sugar if too soft.
  5. If using, add food coloring and mix until desired color is achieved.
  6. Scoop out portions and shape into small balls or use molds.
  7. Place on a lined tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until firm.
  8. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container.
