Ingredients

Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Filling Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Biscoff cookie butter For spreading on the dough
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon For flavor enhancement

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
Rolling and Filling
  1. Lightly flour your working surface and roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Spread the Biscoff cookie butter evenly across the rolled dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. Sprinkle the cinnamon over the cookie butter to enhance those warm, spicy flavors.
  4. Starting from one side, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log shape. Pinch the edges to create a seal.
  5. Using a sharp knife, cut the log into about 1-inch thick slices. You should have around 12 rolls.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish or on a lined baking sheet and let them rise for about 20 minutes.
  3. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown and fluffy.
  4. Remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with icing if desired and enjoy!

Notes

Let the dough rise properly for the best texture. For toppings, consider a cream cheese glaze or crushed Biscoff cookies. Avoid overmixing to keep the rolls fluffy. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer storage.
