Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces ripe pears (Bosc or Anjou work well) Ensure they are ripe but not overly soft.
  • 1 cup assorted berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries) You can use any berries available.
  • 1/4 cup honey Adjust to taste; maple syrup can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon For an aromatic touch.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Use a Halal-friendly substitute if needed.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash and halve the pears lengthwise, then scoop out the core to create a small well.
  3. Place the pear halves cut side up in a baking dish.
  4. Fill the wells of the pears with an assortment of berries.
  5. Drizzle honey generously over the pears and berries.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon over the top.
  7. Dot with small pieces of butter on each pear half.
Baking
  1. Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 30 minutes.
  2. Remove foil for the last 10 minutes to allow the tops to brown slightly.
  3. Serve warm, optionally with whipped cream.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes.
