Preparation
- Grate the cucumber using a box grater. Squeeze out as much water as possible using a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and the drained cucumber. Stir well to combine.
- Add the minced garlic, olive oil, fresh dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the mixture. Stir to combine.
- Mix everything until well combined. Let the Tzatziki sauce chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve the Tzatziki sauce with grilled meats, as a dip for veggies, or spread it on flatbreads.
Notes
For best flavor, make the sauce ahead of time. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Can be frozen but may change texture when thawed.
