Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
For Flavor
  • 1 medium cucumber, grated and drained Make sure to drain well to avoid a watery sauce.
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced Adjust according to your taste.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped Can substitute with mint or parsley.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Grate the cucumber using a box grater. Squeeze out as much water as possible using a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and the drained cucumber. Stir well to combine.
  3. Add the minced garlic, olive oil, fresh dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the mixture. Stir to combine.
  4. Mix everything until well combined. Let the Tzatziki sauce chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  5. Serve the Tzatziki sauce with grilled meats, as a dip for veggies, or spread it on flatbreads.

Notes

For best flavor, make the sauce ahead of time. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Can be frozen but may change texture when thawed.
