Preparation
- Start by washing and trimming the asparagus or green beans. If using asparagus, cut it into 1-2 inch pieces.
Cooking
- In a large sauté pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Once the oil is shimmering, add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the asparagus or green beans to the pan. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
- Pour the soy sauce and sesame oil over the veggies, tossing to coat them evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve warm.
Notes
For substitutions, try adding sliced bell peppers, snap peas, or broccoli. Avoid overcrowding the pan when sautéing.
