  • 2 pieces apples, peeled and sliced Granny Smith apples recommended for tartness.
  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter Melted.
  • 1 cup ginger ale or lemon-lime soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and slice the apples into thin wedges.
Assembly
  1. Wrap each apple slice with a triangle of crescent roll dough, starting from the wide end.
  2. Arrange the wrapped dumplings in a greased baking dish.
Sauce Preparation
  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the sugar and cinnamon, stirring until combined.
  2. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the dumplings.
  3. Pour ginger ale or lemon-lime soda around the dumplings.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown.
  2. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes
