Preparation
- Start by removing your steaks from the refrigerator and letting them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes for even cooking.
Seasoning
- Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Rub this mixture generously over both sides of the steaks.
Preheat the Air Fryer
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
Cook the Steaks
- Place the steaks in the air fryer basket, ensuring there’s enough space for air circulation. Cook for 8 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 4 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust cooking time based on preferred doneness.
Rest and Serve
- Once done, remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Optionally, top with fresh herbs.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For reheating, use the air fryer at 350°F for about 4-5 minutes to maintain texture.
