  • 2 pieces ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 8 ounces each) Choose tender cuts for best results.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For seasoning the steaks.
  • 1 teaspoon salt To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon pepper To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances flavor.
  • Optional Fresh rosemary or thyme for garnish Add for additional flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by removing your steaks from the refrigerator and letting them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes for even cooking.
Seasoning
  1. Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Rub this mixture generously over both sides of the steaks.
Preheat the Air Fryer
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
Cook the Steaks
  1. Place the steaks in the air fryer basket, ensuring there’s enough space for air circulation. Cook for 8 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 4 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust cooking time based on preferred doneness.
Rest and Serve
  1. Once done, remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Optionally, top with fresh herbs.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For reheating, use the air fryer at 350°F for about 4-5 minutes to maintain texture.
