  • 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce make sure it’s Halal-friendly
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Chopped green onions for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the cauliflower head and cut it into equal-sized florets.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk together until well blended.
  3. Add the cauliflower florets to the bowl and toss until every piece is evenly coated with the marinade.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 4-5 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Place the coated florets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for about 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  2. In the last 2-3 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the sesame seeds on top to toast slightly.
  3. Once golden brown and crispy, garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider incorporating a Halal-friendly spice mix. Monitor the cooking time closely to avoid overcooking, and never overcrowd the air fryer basket for optimal crispiness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month.
