Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup chocolate chips your choice of dark, milk, or semi-sweet
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
Coating
  • to taste optional Cocoa powder or crushed nuts for coating

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the heavy cream just until it starts to simmer. Do not let it boil.
  2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the chocolate chips. Stir gently until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Transfer the chocolate mixture to a bowl and let it cool at room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for about 1 hour, or until the mixture is firm enough to shape.
  4. Once the mixture is set, scoop out small portions with a melon baller or your hands and roll them into balls, aiming for about 1 inch in diameter.
  5. Roll each truffle in cocoa powder or crushed nuts until fully coated.
  6. Your truffles are now ready to enjoy! If not eating them immediately, place them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

Choose high-quality chocolate chips for the best flavor. Consider adding vanilla extract or a pinch of sea salt to enhance flavor. Alternatively, roll the truffles in crushed pistachios or colorful sprinkles for a fun twist.
