Ingredients
Method
Cooking the Spaghetti
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
Preparing Garlic Oil
- While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté gently until it turns golden, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Combining Pasta and Oil
- Once the spaghetti is cooked and drained, reserve about 1/2 cup of the pasta water. Add the hot spaghetti directly to the sauté pan with garlic and olive oil. Toss well to coat.
Adjusting Texture
- If the pasta seems too dry, gradually add some reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
Seasoning
- Sprinkle salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste. Stir everything together for another minute.
Garnishing & Serving
- Plate the spaghetti and top with grated parmesan cheese and chopped parsley if desired. Enjoy it warm and fresh!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. To reheat, add a splash of water or olive oil in a skillet over medium heat to retain texture.
